Ensuring the social and emotional well-being of youngsters

The goals of this committee are to:

  1. Promote social-emotional development and school readiness of young children from birth to age 5,
  2. Facilitate best practices in early childhood education through the use of research-based social/emotional strategies, and
  3. Support, train, and educate childcare professionals and staff using the Pyramid Model for Supporting Social Emotional Competence in Preschool Children, including infants and young children.

Our top three priorities are to:

  • Identify resources
  • Identify or develop professional or parent training opportunities
  • Develop pathways for parents to receive services
